| The National Snurfing Contest took on new stature this year as JEM Corporation, manufacturer of the boards, stepped in to lend it a financial hand. And it may be only the beginning. The company is now interested in co-sponsoring the annual event with MCC's Student Representative Council and making it truly "national" in scope. |

| JEM Corporation General Manager Leo Parks and Corporate Vice
President Bill Fix attend the 11th Annual Snurfing Competition to
award $1,000 in prize money and offer to co-sponsor the event in the
future. "Already in the planning stage are proposed local, and regional competitions with winners coming to Muskegon for the payoff event, the National Contest.
